Fuel tank, pump, connections etc...
Here be the fuel tank ARL will supply.
And this is where to fit it.
The tank needs a couple of bars to raise it up so there is room underneath for the fuel pump, and also for the handbrake cable.

I have bolted it down with three bolts at the front and two bolts that pass through the bulkhead at the top.
Two bars fitted with rubber or fibre At the bottom of the tank we need to install covering to soften the tank mounting. some 6mm threaded studs
You will need a fuel pump And you need the circular steel ring that holds it in place
If you get one from a breakers try to make sure it has the fuel pipe connector. This one hasn't
so I had to find a complete fuel hose that includes the high pressure connector. In any case, the standard fuel pipe will not be long enough to connect from the bottom of the fuel tank up to the first fuel rail on the engine so you will need to cut off any existing fuel pipe and fit a longer one.
I have masked off the fuel gauge connector as it will be useless in this application. The pump connection is identified by the thicker blue & black wiring in the pump.
Note the high pressure fuel line connector is not fitted here.
Fuel level gauge.
I have one that came with the Dash2 console device.
And the fuel tank has a hole in it just the right size. Before fitting check the swing of the arm doesn't catch on the fuel pump.
What's that? Self tapping screws?
Well, yes. I'm afraid so. There is no raised flange with drilled and tapped holes. The wall of the tank is too thin to cut a screw thread. So the recommendation is to drill a small hole and force self tap screws in.
I used a smear of grey RTV. Not so much that any will ooze into the tank mind.
And yes, you will get swarf in the tank unless you invert the tank and drill the holes from underneath. Then reach in with a greased finger and pick up the swarf.
